Amanda & Alex – Traditional Church Wedding – Dillon, SC

“There are no words that I can think of to fully described how wonderful David is as a person and as a photographer.  He captured every moment that my husband and I ever dreamed of for our wedding.  My husband and I have received wonderful and countless comments on our wedding pictures as well as my bridal portrait photos.  David is a creative and inspiring photographer who brings pictures to life!  Working with David was such a blessing because my husband and I along with our families will be able to relive a special moment in our lives through his photos.”

Amanda and Alex were married on a beautiful spring afternoon in Dillon, SC. The ceremony took place at the beautiful Main Street United Methodist Church and the reception was at her family’s home in a huge tent on their lawn. I was expecting a very traditional day of church wedding photography, but the Amanda and Alex and their family and friends made it a wedding I’ll never forget. Her mom is probably the sweetest lady I’ve ever met and her dad is a hilarious character. Add in a bunch of rowdy and rambunctious groomsmen and you have a day full of laughter and fun. The day started out as I expected but by the end of the night my sides hurt from laughing at the sheer fun of the whole day. From tears to Gangnam style, this was one of the most memorable weddings I’ve photographed. Some of the highlights of the day for me include the father of the bride and his iconic hat, a super photogenic bride that never stopped smiling, a stunning dress with gorgeous purple accessories, hundreds of glow sticks being thrown in the air (that’s a first for me), and a dance floor where the action never stopped. Seriously, these reception photos still make me laugh every time I look at them because everyone from children to grandparents let loose and had an amazing time celebrating with the newlyweds. Thank you to Amanda, Alex, family, and friends for making this wedding so special for everyone that attended, and for having me their to photograph it.

Great set. I love the black and white of them in front of the church and the glow stick send off is hilarious.
