Katie & Michael – Couple Portraits Photography at Sugarloaf Mountain – Hartsville, SC

I can’t say enough about how much I love these couple portraits. Katie and Michael are good friends of mine and I’ve always loved photographing Katie (she’s been in 3 of my fine art series and countless other photos). I told them I wanted to do something different, and they said they were more than willing to trust me with whatever I came up with. We headed up to the┬áCarolina Sandhills National Wildlife Refuge near Hartsville to shoot this session, and the light couldn’t have been better. I told them I wanted serious, dramatic looks from them and they performed like veterans. Katie looks stunning in every shot as always, and Michael had a great stern look that’s straight out of GQ. I always love visiting Sugarloaf, I grew up in this area and remember many weekends spent at this park climbing the (tiny) mountain and (giant) boulder at the base, fishing in the pond, and eating ham and cheese sandwiches. Thank you guys for being amazing in front of the camera and for trusting my vision for creating something special for your portraits.
